Division Level Administrator
The “main” account holder(s). These persons will be able to review all activities affiliated with the school division. They can also create Lead Digital Rights Managers, Certifying DRMs, and DRMs who will be able to order materials from the AIM-VA Library System, as well as create students accounts. AIM-VA users in this role are also able to certify the eligibility of students in the division, access DRM reports, and manage book orders for students. Each division will have to select one Division Level Administrator before anyone else can be certified to use the ordering system. If no one is selected, AIM-VA will select the Special Education Director by default.
Lead Digital Rights Manager
AIM-VA users in this role are able to certify the eligibility of students in the division. They can also create Certifying DRMs, DRMs, and student accounts; access DRM reports, and manage book orders for students.
A Certifying Digital Rights Manager is appointed by the Lead DRM to assist with the functions of a Lead DRM in certifying eligibility of the students.
A DRM is a teacher or other educational professional that works directly with the student. They will be mainly responsible for ordering and assigning books to each student. Each DRM will be responsible for their own students and thusly can manage the orders and reports for their students only.
Students can login to the AIMVA portal and use StreamIt! StreamIt will read ePubs that have been selected by the DRMs. Student reading progress is monitored to give DRMs a view of student progress.
